Visit from singer Paul Roberts

Kortenberg - Important musical visit last week.

Singer Paul Roberts of the Stranglers came by to introduce his new project : Soulsec.

For 10 years now Roberts has been the lead singer of legendary British punk-band The Stranglers, who mainly in the 80’s scored a few worldwide hits like “golden brown”. ‘No mercy” and “something better change”.

The visitation a couple of days to Kortenberg, was actually a technical one, because on November 10th Roberts will play with his side project Soulsec on the Kortenbergse rock festival: Kortrock.

Organiser Mark Molon and guitarshop owner Erik Geraerts are proud they could get Soulsec to come to Kortenberg.

“It proves that we’re on the right course with our festival. Kortenberg finally got their own stage for local, national and international groups. And for the price of 4 beers, the attendees will always get a local talent, followed by a bigger name.”

On December 23rd the 20people involved, will celebrate their first anniversary with a show by Lemon.

But first this weekend, September 24th, the come back of semi-legendary La fille d’Ernest, from Zaventem.

Each night out in the Berkenhof starts at 20.30
